Coming to a new place and settling into a new church can be a daunting task. For roughly five weeks after freshers week representatives from some of the churches below will be coming to church search to give you the opportunity to find out about their church and maybe grab a spot in a car for a lift.

Aardvark (part of Bristol Christian Fellowship)

Alma

Alma is a lively independent evangelical church situated just off Whiteladies Road in Clifton. We have around 130 members of all ages including a significant number of students. Alma members are knit together with strong relationships and a desire to serve God, each other and the community around us. BC3 (Bristol City Centre Church).

We are a group of Christians who have been sent out from Kensington Baptist to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people living in the city centre. We strive to be a gospel centred community who are passionate about Jesus Christ, centred on his word and eager to share the gospel with one another and the local community. East Street Baptist Church

“We would love you to consider becoming part of a Missional initiative we are part of. We are trying to re-plant the church in Bedminster, and have started a small group in the area, we usually start with food, we have recently started reading a book together and then we pray. We also meet for breakfast in a local cafés and drinks in local bars. The primary aim of the group is to follow the model set for us in Acts 2:42-47.”

Grace Church

Hope community church

Hope Community Church is a young, vibrant, informal Congregational Church.
We are centred on the good news of Jesus Christ. The core values of the church are about gaining freedom through Christ, reaching out to the marginalised, ‘hear it, pray it, do it!’ & 24/7 prayer.

The Joinery

Third Sunday of the month (18th Sep, 16th Oct, 20th Nov) at 6.30pm. St Mary’s Church Rooms, Mariners Drive (Just off Stoke Hill), Stoke Bishop. The Joinery is a casual, cafe-style worship service with good contemporary worship, preaching, discussion and ministry. It is a new service, so come if you want to be part of building something. Woodlands Church

When:
At 8.30am there is breakfast followed by the 9am early service; the 10.30am service is friendly with lots of families and an informal vibe; the 5pm service is different each week. The first 5pm service of the month is our student led service.
The evening celebration at 7pm is the busiest and liveliest and after this service each week we have a student gathering.
The Woodlands Student Community (WSC) meets together every other Tuesday evening and then during the other week in small groups all over the place and there’s a group every day.
WSC does loads of other things too; best to come along to one of the meetings to find out more.

Zetland Evangelical Church

Zetland Evangelical Church is a small, friendly congregation that meets every Sunday at 11:00am for a Gospel Service and 6:30pm for Evening Worship. Students are encouraged to join us not only to learn more about what it means to be a Christian but also to share Christian fellowship and to serve Christ.
